Maria Calderara

Maria Calderara, architect from Venice, designs jewels which are one by one all hand-made, following the ancient working traditions of women. Her jewels embrace the spirit of the enchanted Orient as well as the handcraft tradition. The Oriental and Bizantinum soul of Venice has influenced her, who inheirs and reproposes the passion for pearls, seducted from the iconography and by travellers stories. In each collection her bijoux are reinvented with new shapes, concepts, research of materials, allusions to the past. With a beautiful balance between needle, thread, pearls, drawing, she gives birth to necklaces, bracelets, earrings, pendants.
